I was looking for another hail salvaged daily driver and was wondering if anyone has dealt with this company. I know you buy an annual membership. Worked out last I went through ISR but this one has more selection.
yeah....quite a nice experience!- i bought a motorcycle salvage from them through a broker, repaired it and now i am riding it . they need 400$ deposit and you get the access to auctions at once.

I had a salvage car once. It actually was a great car. A pain to sell but if you drive them almost into the ground they can sure be a good deal.

Jamie is a member of a website similar to that for salvage auctions.
Intresting looking 72. Looks pretty tame on the outside. But 1000HP BBC under the hood. They must sell more then just salvage stuff. I dont see anything wrong here.
Lots of flood cars out there and the Foreign stuff goes for blood. As Chris stated Jamie and the twins buy alot of salvage cars. Better if your patient on buying or check some other places as well. Remember PAY ATTENTION TO LOCATION of the sale.

As soon as you mention it has a salvage title, they either walk away or want it for nothing...
I've been toying with the idea of finding a 03-07 K1500 hit in the front and put a Tahoe clip on it. I don't like the chinaman look of the original lights. So many I see have waaaay more miles than my 2000 already. Big bonus working for a frame shop now. I could get any frame damage pulled for free.

I was looking at Copart for a while since they are close to me (Avon location).
Finally I was going to bid so I stopped in at their office to find out what was all involved.
Quickly I ran away. You think there are alot of fee's using Ebay and Paypal!!!
After the auction is over they will add on a buyers premium (and it is a premium alright), an internet bidding fee, title fee (even on a burned out shell), registration fee, a fee for not being a long term member, this fee, that fee and even a $50 fee to bring your trailer into their yard!!! BTW even if the car is running you need to bring your trailer into the yard to load it, no driveing off and no outside loading.
I was looking at a burnt out shell of a escilade that I could have "won" for the minimum bid of $30 but it would have cost me over $800 after all the BS fees.
No, I wont go back!!

WOW, that's NUTS. Good to hear a first hand experience. I was looking at erepairables and they have fees too. A guy where I work buys a lot of crashed cars at the local auction. I can ask him what's involved and the cost of any additional fees.

Wow, that has to be the stupidest thing I have ever heard. Ive never heard of such rediculous fees from other reparable places. A trailer fee, seriously? That sounds like a real scam to me. No wonder why you didnt go back.

We used to go to IAA ( www.iaai.com ) until the fees got too ridiculous there too. Their site doesn't show a MN location anymore, so I wonder if it closed, or is run under a different company now.

I have bought two cars through different auction companies. All the auction sites I found have a membership fee, buyer fee and gate fee plus sales tax and title fees. They do also tack on the other stupid fees like internet bidding to suck a little more from you. Can't escape it.
Last car I bought for 3K had about $500 in additional costs (all fees including tax and title)...I did not have any trailer fee though, maybe Avon site has it, I bought mine in Ham Lake site last fall and they brought it out and dropped it right on my trailer for me.
