I see you have to have an overflow tank on you're radiator to pass tech at the dragstrip. Anyone know how big they have to be?

Im not so sure they pay that close attention to the size. They just want to see you have one that does the job. Ive heard some tracks will let a 20 oz. plastic Mountain Dew bottle for an overflow tank through.

I cable tied a 20 oz. plastic coke bottle in place and put the overflow hose into it for the Rock Falls racing. It passed without any questions.

I did the same thing with the last car I ran-a 20oz bottle held into a cheap plastic cupholder. Now I have a Jaz one attached to a piece of flat stock and a 180 degree molded hose I found on the shelf at work.

Thanks guys. Doesn't sound like they are real picky.

Not really. I drilled a 3/8 hole in the cap and put the hose in. It was sealed enough that it never overflowed out either.
