Very Cool . I like the tire marks around the cones.
Here's the next step: Modified Power Wheels . Pick him up a Corvette or Viper, upgrade it to 36 volts, and he will be able to practice drifting too.

Way ahead of you... we picked up a C5-R off craigslist for $50. Just needs a new battery, which I should have today. I'm going to mow a "road course" into the empty lot accross the street.
We'll see how well he does with 12V before we start getting crazy with mods.

I missed the tire marks... but saw Derek's Chevelle in the background screaming for some attention. I'ts missing a couple of parts!
Kids come first though. The next thing you know he'll be driving your Chevelle to high school prom or graduation.

Yep, and when they no longer want to be seen with me, I'll have plenty of time to work on my projects.

Derek, Make sure you buy a 12v deep cycle battery. It will take rechargeing better. I have modified a power wheels and the deep cycle lawn mower battery lasts longer.

Sweet! I think they get small bike tires (12" maybe?) remove the sidewalls and put the rubber band around the wheels for traction.

Only thing I worry about with that is battery acid spilling.

That stage only lasts for a year or two. Wanna know when you've done a good job? When your "know it all-eye roll-hair flip-geeeezzz Dad" kid calls you in the middle of the day from college and asks... "I need your help deciding on something".

Starting him young...
This is why my car isn't getting done.
Liking the 'lean' into turn #3! Just like Dad!
