Let's start planning for the Hastings cruise-in on Sat., May 28th (Memorial Day Weekend).
The wife is out of town that weekend, so I think we need to have a meet up at my man cave before cruising into Hastings together (about a 15 min. drive).
So, if anyone wants to come to my place first, let's meet starting at 1:30 P.M. We can B.S. for awhile then head over to Hastings around 3:30 p.m. to get good parking places, and catch a bite to eat or just B.S. some more (Show starts at 5 p.m.).
We can have a post-Hastings show gathering at the man cave afterwards as long as everyone promises not to do any burnouts or exhaust loudness checks from my place when leaving! Gotta keep the neighbors happy, so I'd appreciate it.
I'll ask for an RSVP when we get closer to know how many people to plan for.
Hope to see you there!

I don't think we are going anywhere that weekend, so it is a possibility......as long as you don't mind having a barn find Camaro tag along. I don't see the Chevelle being ready by then.
'Course like today, it will be weather dependant.

No Chevelle restriction, whatsoever. GM products preferred though!

That looks like an open weekend for Rachael and I. Hope the weather is good. If you arrive around 4:00 pm, you will probably have to park in out by the VA home. I will probably get there around 2:30.

Right now... the weather looks GREAT for Sat. the 28th!!!
68 degrees, sunny, and 0% chance of precip.
Hopefully that holds out with all the weather issues we've had this spring getting together.
Let's keep the sun gods happy!

After being in Hastings yesterday I think you are right about parking. See ya on the east side of town at about 1430hrs.

Yeah, kind of regretting that one now...
It's still a go for the man cave on Sat., rain or shine!

Is it going to rain all damn summer or what? Not fair...

Crossing my fingers here... but it looks like the weather is going to shape up today!!!
A little cloudy until later this a.m., then partly cloudy, sunny and dry!
C'mon over at 1:30 p.m. if you want to B.S., and cruise to Hastings at 3-3:30 p.m. from my place. We will park on the East end parking lot of downtown by the rail road tracks (usual place for those NCC'ers that have gone the past year or so).
Even if it does rain, the man cave is still open.
Hope to see you

We are planning to get to Hastings 2:30-3:00 weather permitting. Now if Stan will just quit saying how nice it is going to be maybe we can get home without getting wet.

Jon, I'm only 10 min. from Hastings so it would be cool if you and the wife could stop by.
I promise I'll stop talking about the 'environment' if you come over!

The man cave is ready!
The beverages are in the fridge, the chips are out, and the new work/pool table is set up and ready to go!
I built a rolling stand as low as I could go, and there is room for storage totes. A 4 X 8 sheet of plywood fits perfectly for when I need to lay parts out or need a work surface. It will fit in the front of the man cave so that I can still get 2 cars in if needed.

Folks showed up at my place staring at 1:30 p.m. and we hung out in the cave most of the afternoon. Put the Chevelles inside during the storm as well as the next door neighbors garage. Ordered up some pizza, sat out the weather and had a good time talking.
Headed off to Hastings a little after 6 p.m. and all was good weather wise. About half the normal amount of cars, but still worth going. Hung out until about 9 p.m. then headed home.
FYI-The 'normal' western road that dumps you into downtown under the Bridge was open last night. But, it closes next weekend, so you need to come in from 61 and turn onto a residential street and come in from the South.

I was working in the woods when it started raining around 3:30. Radar indicated a nasty cell moving in your direction. I thought about going down around 6 but was tired and dirty. After supper and a shower, the wife and I went to Lowes to get retaining wall block and landscape timbers for a raised shrub bed. As if I don't have enough on my plate already.

I am sure Kevin will add a few more photo.s He and I got chased out of Hastings and west south to Meisville. Tornado cloud above us, Kevin went to the basement of the bar, while I watched the wind, rain, and hail!!. Fortunately the hail was small 1/4" to 3/8" size. No apparent damage, Blood pressure dropped about 80 points, so then we had a beer and a sandwich. Then went home to Lake City. Picked leaves off the car, dried her off, and put her to bed.

That was a pretty good turnout considering the weather a few hours before. Dried up fairly decent too.

I was wondering where the pic was taken that he emailed me... plenty of leaves plastered to the sides of vehicles...

In front of Kings Bar in Meisville, about 10 miles straight south of Hastings, we tried to out run the storm to the south. 2 miles further south and we would have missed it. Kevin said the basement was pretty dark.
Did you miss the hail that had piled up behind his left rear windhsield area?
