Got the seat belt pockets installed today. Bryan, they aren't green any more!

Nice. Always wondered how they worked since I didn't have OEM belts in mine.
I also like the D in a circle on the shifter plate.

Thanks Bryan. A little black plastic paint and they turned out nice. I guess they were tan when I bought them from you not green...
The console had small circles molded in where the screws went, so I didn't have to measure anything.
The 'OD' plate came from Shiftworks for the 200-4R swap. I think Derek has the same one in his Chevelle.

That's the hard won "patina" of age... (I've always wondered about this. From day one, until about the mid '80s, the belts in our cars were jammed under the seats never to see the sun. Why did they fade?)

Mine faded from all the Dairy Queen napkins as best I can remember.....
When I painted my kick panels, they started out kinda brown with a little green. After cleaning them, they were a nice light tan. Now they're black-ish.
Stan, what paint do you use?

They are black but more on the light black side from the fading as John said. I think the camera makes it look lighter than they really are.

Dashboard had some vinyl/plastic spray paint that he let me borrow, so I think it is more flexible than regular paint so it doesn't flake off the plastic. I think Menard's or The Depot has it.
