Since I met my wife, she's never worked full time consistantly. By that I mean, maybe she would work a 40 hour week once or twice, then not again for a year (or 2). She's been at Children's Hospital in St Paul since high school and until we had kids, she worked 8 days in 2 weeks. The past 8 years, she's worked 12 days per month.
She has been looking, and accepted a job in a neurosurgery clinic (still part of Children's) and will be finally off weekends. The trade off is a 8-5 job Monday through Friday. Yay, more weeknds to do stuff, but then again she's going to be tired and packing what she does all into the weekends. Should be interesting.
The extra income will be nice too, unfortunately, none will get to go to the car.

Congrats to her. A normal daily work life is always a nice thing for everyone in the family.
