Hoffbug may know of this guy, and I was fortunate to be "allowed" to wander the yard a few years ago. Cranky SOB, and nothing was for sale. Well guys, here's a way to blow all of your fun-money.
Closing Monday, May 16, 2011. 12:00 p.m. cst. ONLINE ONLY. Bill Auto Parts–William F. Knauff Estate. Approximately 450 Cars 1980 and Older. 1926 Oakland 4 Door, 1951 Woody (Restorable), Approximately 50 Vintage Snowmobiles, Large Assortment of Parts, American Crane, Pettibone All Terrain Forklift, Large Assortment of Tools, Plus More. Inspection: Thursday, May 12 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and Friday, May 13 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. 310 7th Avenue,Newport, MN 55055
I would love to get in there and look. Too many mixed lots of various makes. They should arrange all the head pallets by make.
I can't find a link to the pics or any detailed info about the cars. I only saw 2 '66 Chevelles listed and 2 Camaros. My "fun money" ran out 2 months ago anyway...

Having grown up in neighboring St. Paul Park I have known Bills auto for some time.... Ill reserve my opinions on a public forum... But a lot of the stuff in there is way beyond its prime.. I might take a trip down for the open house in May to see whats left of the snowmobiles..

Looks like it was a neat place. Im supprised I have never heard of that place before. Although there is a place in Newport that always advertised in national magazines about old car parts. This can be the only place I would think of in Newport.

Took a walk through today.. You guys arent missing anything. The action is an no reserve "everything must go" so you could theoretically lowball some stuff. ...get the one or two good parts off it... and then scrap the rest.
