I've noticed a few people posting URL links that aren't active and Mitch and others are reposting to make it active.
I think there is a simple solution to this; after you paste the link in the post, remember to hit the 'Enter' or a space key. I just did this and it worked.
I believe that if you hit the Submit button after pasting and no other keys are hit, it doesn't become active.
John D. may know the nuances of this.
Just a thought...

I found that a normal reply is in the quick reply box. If you go to advanced editor and paste it will come up ready to rock
Find the link you want to post. Go up to the link in your address bar and copy it. Click on the address and highlight it, Right click your mouse to bring up a small menu, then go to copy.
Now go to the area where you type responses and put your cursor in to where you can type. Now right click near that cursor to again to bring the same menu. Click on Paste and the address you copied should now be pasted right in the text area.
Or simply put. Copy and paste method. That address above I made clickable was done just like this in less then literally 5 seconds.

By the way. You have to place your mouse right onto where your (blinking) cursor is or very close to it. If you just place a cursor up (again so you can type words) and just go to right click anywhere in the typing window. You end up with a different menu.
By placing your mouse right over the cursor, then right clicking, you can then get the copy and paste menu.

My previous response was typed before I just read Tonys response. Intresting. I have no expierence with Firefox. Sorry about that.
Tony. Can you do the Ctrl V method? Copy a link and then hold Ctrl V and see if the text is then pasted?

I can paste the link any number of ways.. it just doesnt automatically "parse" it like the UBB boards do... Im not a big fan of this BB software.. But I put up with it cause the club is fun.

Old "Pre AOL" Netscape users love Mozilla based browsers.( firefox and Seamonkey) They have had over 81 million downloads... Software companies not checking for compatibility are in the stone age..

I used to use Firefox too but it crashed with an update almost a year ago and I switched back to IE. I preferred FF but haven't tried to download the current version. There was a LOT less crap and page diversion with FF.
Tony, you may need to go into the "tools" section of FF and chose to automatically parse links. I think I remember that being an option.

I use Firefox simply for the AdBlock Plus add-on... no advertisements at all, even on Pandora internet radio it blocks all commercials and skips right to the next song.
