Would like to remove most of the sticky/gooey Weld-On stuff from the underside of my hood where it was used to hold the hood insulation in place. Is there a remover that I can use or do I just try to remove most of it with lacqure thinner? Thanks.

Is it adhesive or is it the anti-flutter foam used to keep the sheetmetal "skin" from vibrating against the under structure?

3M makes a good adhesive remover and I've also used Goof-Off remover with good results too.

Deceided to put the hood insulation back in, so just scaped most off. Plan to glue the insulation back in place tomorrow and install the hood later this week.

Yep.........Texas hill country could be high on the list of locales to move to when we decide to go south... It sucked to come back to this weather after a week of 76-83° days... I could ride the Harley a lot more down there.
