Anyone have any clean ideas? I don't need any "Daddy, what does the 'F' on your plate stand for?" questions from the kiddos. I don't want anything that I have to explain either...
I'm going to get collector plates, so it has to be something I'm willing to keep on the car for a long time... can't do anything like "LS1 383", because if you know me, that probably won't be valid in a few years.
I'll always have a 6-speed, so something referencing that is cool with me.
My first choice "NVRENUF" is already taken, but "NVR ENF" appears to be unused per this website https://dutchelm.dps.state.mn.us/dvsinfo/vh80/mvregtax.asp ...that site has no record of my current daily driver plates, so who knows what else is missing though.
My wife liked that idea, because it's true...
I might get plates for the Model T too... thinking either TOOSLOW or IGOSLOW for that car.

How about 'CURVMAN', 'CURVKNG', 'CURVLVR', OR 'TWISTD1'?
Tried to think of something about the curves/twisties you like to drive so much!

Good ideas, keep them coming!!!
NVRDUN (never done) NVRDUN, NEVRDUN, and NVRDONE are all taken... NVR DUN is available. kind of reminds me of Larry the Cable guy though spelled like that.
IT STICKS / IT STIX That 2nd variation reminds me of the worst band ever. Tried STICK and STICKS but they're both taken. STICK would be cool, with the 6 speed. too bad...
CNRCRVR (corner carver) cool idea, but already taken.
HLMTRQD (helmet required) love it!!! Definitely going on the list.
TIRE ABUS (tire abuse) too many letters... maybe TIREKLR
IH8CONES (I hate cones) too many letters - NOCONES is available, but not always true. CONEKLR might be more accurate.
How about 'CURVMAN', 'CURVKNG', 'CURVLVR', OR 'TWISTD1'? Some of those might be taken the wrong way.

LATAKCL (lateral acceleration)
PULLS1G (pulls 1 g)

GETAGRP (GET A GRIP)
OVRSTER (Oversteer)

WACHTHS (Watch This)

TYRABUS (Nahh, you might be confused with the 5-head model) I agree. LATAKCL (lateral acceleration) hmm... not bad. PULLS1G (pulls 1 g) If only I had some proof... I should have taken advantage of the data-logging offer at a test-n-tune when I had the chance. I would hate to make that claim, and not be able to deliver... like putting a "RUNS11S" on a plate of a car that's never had a timeslip.
GETAGRP (GET A GRIP) I like it, but it's taken OVRSTER (Oversteer) This one's going on the list! CRVAHED (Curve Ahead) not bad WACHTHS (Watch This) I like it... seems like it might be tempting fate though. Stating "Watch this" usually is followed with carnage and injury.

I was going to mention perhaps 1969LS1 but the day comes when an LS2 or more is installed. That no longer applies.

I like the autocross inspired plates, don't be afraid to break out the numbers, for instance mine is A2B B4U. It keeps em guessing, but they usually laugh when they get it.

I've chosen not to get a custom plate since they're easily remembered...if I happen to be going fast, I don't want to make it easier to report by someone who doesn't appreciate my enthusiastic driving.

Scott, like seeing a lowered, screaming small block powered, good handling 60's era wagon isn't going to be 'memorable' to most people!
Sorry... couldn't resist!

Could someone explain the "I am the Stig" or "THESTIG" I don't get it???

That's a good point... but I'm usually pretty good about keeping my "enthusiasm" in check around witnesses.
Bungy L-76 wrote: Could someone explain the "I am the Stig" or "THESTIG" I don't get it???
You need to watch "Top Gear"... "The Stig" is their nameless/faceless test-driver whose identity is kept secret. The first one wore all black, and when he revealed his identity, he was fired from the show and "killed" and replaced with the white Stig. He recently revealed his identity in a book, so he'll be "killed" and replaced too.

I know exactly what you are talking about, but how many 66 wagons with loud exhaust and numbers on the side of the car are running around at any 1 time in this state?

My concerns with law-enforcement isn't that someone is going to see & report me, but that a plate that advertises "speed" might discourage them from giving me some leniency if they catch me exceeding the limit...
I don't misbehave in front of witnesses very often, at least not to an extent that anyone would be likely to call me in.

And have had photos of tire shredding and "competition" type driving nationally published??

That's a cool plate Derek!
Re- my concern over witnesses reporting me..
I've found that most civilians (non-car people) have no idea what my car is. Year, make, model- no clue. I've been asked if it's a Plymouth, Olds, etc. Other folks have told me they don't even remember Chevelle wagons being made. It's funny.
I shaved all the logos and scripts, so the car aint' saying what it is.
So the plate is kind of key.
While I don't often drive enthusiastically around witnesses, ya never know.
...but I've wanted a plate that says "WAYGONE" for awhile...
