I don't usually pick up Muscle Car Review, but saw it at Barnes and Noble the other night and the cover story is 70's/80's street freak cars. I thought it was pretty cool as it is the style I am going with my car, although not to an extreme. It featured three cars, a 71 cuda with the custom 70's paint, a 66 chevelle that spent 30 years in storage untouched like a time capsule, and a more modest L78 Nova.

The owner of the 66 pretty much documented his entire expierence oncovering that car on a post on Team Chevelle. Its truely a find thats for sure.

I remember reading about that one too.

That '66 was sold. The new owner cleaned it up and got it running again, but left all the vintage stuff on it.
I personally like the styles of the 60s hotrods, but not really a fan of the 70s and 80s styles... a lot of it was just too gawdy for me.

Anyone have a link to threads about the '66? I'd like to see it.
I stopped liking most cars in '73 when they went to the crash bumpers. I do like the mid 70's Pontiac A-bodies. I almost bought a '77 Can-Am but had too many cars already and couldn't sell enough quickly to get financing.
There ara few mid 80's Buick Regals and Olds Cutlasses that are OK but probably nothing I would ever own...

I did a search on TC and found the link. Sure hope it was left as found. There is another thread from last year that seems to indicate it was left that way. I remember those mods on cars back then too and I wouldn't change it. I'm working towards a day 2 look with mine also but don't think I would seek out and install the sidepipes...
