I went on Saturday. Kind of a let down, really.
The show cars weren't too great. A couple nice rides for sure, but I wasn't floored by anything exceptional. Some of the cars in the secondary room upstairs looked like daily drivers...there wasn't much restriction on what was let in. I guess if you were willing to pay the entry fee they'd let you in.
The old-school room in the basement was pretty cool. Some junk, but a lot of fun stuff too. Besides us, it seems like the rat rod/traditional rod guys are having the most fun. No trailer queens in that crowd.
It did get the blood flowing and make me want to drive the wagon, that's for sure! Well...at least until we had to drive home through the damn snow flurries. That was a reality check!

At 12 dollars to get in, 10 dollars to park and figure 10 dollars at least to get a bite to eat and drink. This show has become just too costly to go to every year IMO. It used to be one of my ritual shows I always make sure to attend.

Only cool car was the 67 impala SS427 car and the trojan horse. Got in for free and still a disapointment.

I can't believe that show is still alive. Glad I got in for free with steve.

Most of the cars there are local and can be seen at local events throughout the summer. The Camaro Club had a 67 Z28 on display. It is one of 602 produced and only a handful of verified 67 Z's still in existence. Still it was restored bone stock, original and cast iron manifolds and skinny Red Line tires never did impress me. I always prefer to see day 2-3 cars with modifications and big meats...

I went last year, and with the exception of running into Mitch, nothing there was cool.
The venue is all wrong - multiple levels, stuff tucked into corners, yech.
(I may be biased however. The "World of Wheels" shows in my memory are the ones I went to as a kid in Chicago at McCormick Place. HUGE venue, with literally acres of cars.)

That's exactly why I don't go. Not worth the price of admission.

Thanks again for the call. I skipped it and sounds like it wasn't for me.
