I came across this post someone linked me to and it peaked my intrest. Appearently this method works pretty well. I generally prefer a more polished appearence but the price is dirt cheap. Im tempted to try it but im afraid if I dont like it. It would be a nightmare to get the headers back out of the car again.
You can't get that $h*% off your hands/tools/parts/clothes when it's in the goo state, so I guess once it's been baked on at a thousand degrees it would never come off....
The idea of painting something that gets that hot with grease is kind of ooogie...

Thats what I thought too John. That stuff makes more of a mess then any substance known to man. I think its impossible not to get it everywhere too. They did have a suggestion that helps. Plus I have my own to add to it. Put the headers in a trashbag before you place them on the engine in the car so you dont make a mess. Use shop rags to help smooth and prevent brush strokes. My recommendation is to wear rubber gloves to keep that crap off your hands. Not to mention any fingerprints in the finish once its baked on.

I remember when my engine was dyno'd, he used that instead of an exhaust gasket. Crap was on my hands for a week.

It's that same feeling you get after you've mentally handled:
1 - the nurse taking the needle out of the package...
2 - sticking it in your arm...
3 - attaching the vial to the needle...
4 - watching your blood spurt into the vial.... RIGHT THERE!!! THAT'S OOOGIE

What would you use to discribe that noise made when your bent over the table looking at the wall and you hear the doctor snap the latex glove?

The noise I only want to hear once a year, created by someone with small fingers!
