I have about double that price into it, but the transmission does need a rebuild now, hence the low price.
LT1/4L60e with about 40,000 miles (first 20K in a MN State Patrol car, last 20K in my Chevelle) Engine runs great, but the transmission is slipping in 3rd and 4th gear.
I got 21mpg with it on 87 octane with 3:50 gears. Chassis-Dyno at CarCraft said 256hp at 5200rpm, 289tq at 4400rpm. Best ET was 13.64 on street-tires (easily a couple tenths more in it with slicks... this thing makes all its power off the line)
Includes EVERYTHING, and all the hard work is already sorted out. -Speartech harness ($650 new) -Edge 3000rpm converter w/ lock-up ($550 new) -Heddman "shorty" Headers w/ ceramic-coat -1LE Camaro A/C delete pulley and the compressor included too. -Brian Herter tuned PCM for 87 octane (note: re-tune for 92 octane is worth 20hp) -Tanks Inc in-tank fuel pump
Hear it run, and drive it before I pull it.

Great deal for a dependable daily driver setup.

Absolutely... we drove it to Nashville TN, drove it to Cleveland OH, drove it to Springfield IL, etc... Enough power to be respectable, and reliable & docile enough to let your Grandma drive it across the country. It's really a great setup, I've just given in to the temptation of LS power and a manual gearbox.
I'd love to keep this for the '66 wagon, but I just have too many projects already.

Derek-any chance of getting a decent shot of that 66 for the calendar this weekend? We can use one last car.
