My car is almost complete on the paint job, should have it home in about 1 week to finish out the interior/top.
I just picked up a new set of Cragar SS 15x7 wheels, and wanted to get some recommendations on tires. I have been looking at the BF Goodrich Radial TA 235/60/15's, but don't want to jump to quick without considering others.
Any recommendations to what other tires brands/models I should look at? What have you had good experiences with?

Radial TAs have a classic look, that's for sure. Try going to tire rack and entering in the size and then looking at what they offer. I drive so little that I went with just a cheap tire called the Dayton Daytona 500 (Firestone cheap line tire, similar to the Indy 500) Eventually I will go with something nicer. Don't be afraid of brands like Nitto, Hankook, or Kumho either. They all make good performance tires too.
As for size, you could fit a 255/60r15 in back I'm sure if you wanted to go a little wider, I like the 235 for front myself.

Im pretty sure a 255 fits back there without problems. Might even get a 265 back there too. The key is in the backspacing of the wheel. This may also help. Its a database that has been collected for the who is using what from many people that submitted thier wheel and tire combo on Team Chevelle, including wheel backspacing on the various years of Chevelles. Its pretty handy to see what others are using for wheel and tire size.
A 235 is to small on the rear and unless your car is lowered a 60 may look short. Find a place that does have sizes in stock and fill out the wheel opening. I have seen cars with 50s all the way around at stock ride and it looks bad IMHO.

Loren, if the wheelwells are the same/similar to '70-72's then a 295/60/15 is as big as you go on the rear. It looks a little goofy to me since it's so tall though.
A 255/60/15 front and 275/60/15 rear looks great on a 15 X 7 rim IMO and no issues with rubbing on a '70-72. Not sure about a '69. Or a 235/60/15 works too for the fronts.
I've had 255's on the rear of the last 2 Chevelles and they are only 26" high which can help/hurt you on the rpm's. That's why I like a 275 rear size.
