So, what's the concensus/opinion on the location we used this year?
My vote is to try and grab it again next year.
Pro's: - Shade through most of the day - "natural" spot for the EZ-up with the yellow curb & hydrant - grass area for the BS circle - reasonably quiet (off the main "rev it up/air horns" route) - Emergency water & power (if a food vendor isn't connected) - 1/2 block to restrooms - 200' to food vendors - About a block from the north parking lot (visitors/guests)
Cons: - Off the "main drag" - not very visible from the "main drag"

I liked the spot... off the beaten path enough to be pretty quiet, but still close to everything.
Shade is good too!!!

I agree. I was having reservations before we got there, but I prefer it. Much quieter for talking, nowhere near the stuff blown up by cars going by, and no exhaust smells. Depending on who's going next year, maybe wrap arounf the corner (or not). I liked the fire hydrant space for extra cars if needed.

Nice for talking to others..If you want the action it is close by also. Works for me and I will be parked there next year...

I also was apprehensive about that street. I used to always think nobody ever goes down that street during shows. For that matter, the state fair itself even. But there was some pretty good amount of traffic back there and I really enjoyed that space we had. I agree, that fire lane really adds to the spot itself.

I thought it was better than last year like all the feedback so far. Close to the action, but not overwhelming.
Part of the reason I didn't bring the car this year was last year there was too much exhaust, noise, people to handle at times.
If we go for this spot next year again, I'd be more likely to bring the Chevelle.
