John, you look like you're adding up the college payments already!
My son graduates tomorrow night.
Another milestone in their lives and on to the next beginning.

I guess I do have a "pained" expression... maybe it's 'cause I'm figuring out how to keep her brother in groceries AND pay tuition!

Congratulations. I think it's as big of an achievement to be the parent of as to be the kid graduating now. I'm halfway there with one and the other's right behind her.

We should introduce our kids. My son would think it's cool that your daughter wore 'Chuck's for footwear to graduation!
I see yours was outside. Hopefully it doesn't rain tomorrow night so that ours can be too. Otherwise, we're 'in the gym'!

Geez you guys are tough... I don't photograph well... I'll leave the "Wow" shots to Sheryl... she's got the looks for it.
The empty nest thing hasn't really sunk in yet, although our graduate has a serious case of "Senior-itis" - and is pushing the envelope a bit with her new-found freedom from scholastic obligations. Our counter to this is that she's a young Senior (17yrs) and still under parental and legal scrutiny. Haven't had to play the "my house, my rules" card yet... and hope to never have to.
She has submitted her "I need more hours" and summer time-off requests to work, and I've got a feeling that the real world of a job, a boss, and regular hours (as apposed to part-time, 10hrs a week) will give the appropriate "smack upside the head" very soon - and put the proper crimp in her lifestyle.
My little girl's grown up!
Congrats to you, Sheryl, and your daughter!
