My car didn't come with a jack. I wouldn't use a bumper jack even if it had one. What are you guys using for a jack? I was thinking of picking up a scissor jack from a bone yard. I have a good floor jack for the shop.

I have pickup up a scissor jack at the yard. Depending on how high you sit, you may want to get one from a truck that uses the frame vs one the type that uses the lip on the uni-body.
The other option is to buy a small hydraulic jack but they are heavy and can roll around in the trunk.

I have a dimple from my hyd jack rolling around, it's a little one, but it sucks. That jack was getting pretty bad. Got another cheapo from a garage sale, made a frame to keep it from rolling around and to hold tha handle. It also is nice to have a base if you are on dirt so it won't dig in. I also carry a small block to use as a spacer since my car sits a little high in back-little jack is about petered out before the car if off the ground without it.

I keep a bottle jack in mine but it's in a tool bag so it doesn't roll around.

Knock on wood... but I've never had to use the bottle jack. I use a hydraulic jack at home.
Otherwise, I would suggest for the front under the frame just below the front fender, and for the back just under the frame in front of the rear wheel.

I went to fleet Farm and bought a new sissors jack. Came in a nice new box. It fits right under my spare tire. Doesn't roll around or move. I didn't want dents like Derek's has in his. His might be fixed by now.
