its almost done. Had to replace the battery, and the exhaust is getting done tomorrow night. But the rest of it is buttoned up. Clutch adjusted, gears all good, 4.10's in. This weekend I will finish the fabrication of the tunnel. I also have to fabricate the center console to work with the shifter position. So I am going to replace the center piece with sheet metal that I will dress up. I will be cleaning up the trans plate and doing some underneath detailing. But it is all removable quite easily to be able to get to the tranny. And yes I had to cut a lot out of the tunnel. Nothing on the firewall though, and the shifter location is perfect for me. I will be finishing the tunnel off though and with some carpet, no one will be none the wiser.

That's cool Tom. The shop looks familiar. Is your car running rich?

Tim-Are you asking because of all the carbon in the pic that shows the inside of the header collector?
Tom-What are you going to have to do to hook up your speedo? Looks like the trans has an electronic connection.

Yes I was running rich before. Should be better now.
I think I will go with a digital speedo after market guage. Don't care too much about going with the dash. The issue there even though is my 4.10 gears and 29.5" tires. I pretty much will be operating off my RPM guage for speed.

It does look familiar. Eric and I have actually become friends. I spent last Thursday and Friday in their shop doing a lot of the work myself. I am doing the exhaust tonight. Should be driving it home tonight! Then going to do the tunnel and center console and detailing this weekend. Weather looks good, so I will be cruising....with 6 gears....

Drive it home tonight. Didn't open it up as it was getting dark and very loud inside. Looking forwad to this weeknd. But I was amazed how it started right up though. No issues there. Clutch was dialed in perfect too. Again even I am not that lucky. I really need to gut it warmed up good though and run through some good shifts. Shifter was nice and stiff. Short throw Hurst. Still happy about the position of the shifter.

If you're not in love with that trans yet, you will be. The T56 is, by far, the best thing I've done to my car.

I sure hope so Scott. And coming from you that is a celebrity endorsement! Not you, the wagon! It's famous. But I am excited. I have not been happy with my carb though. Instant throttle off the line was not good and really running rich. So I drove up and dropped off the holley and had a nice conversation with Patrick at The Carb Shop. I paid extra and got a rush service for it to be done by next Friday. I have heard he does some amazing work. This weekend will be dedicated to the trans tunnel, and finishing up the other work I need to get done.
Power windows aren't working either, but I think a wire is off or something. Quick fix there. Gonna change the oil too.
The Camaro will be jealous...

Time for an update, if you are in town.

yes UPDATE! You should be able to report freeway mileage numbers by now!
PS- I drove the wagon to Milwaukee on Tuesday and got 19.8 mpg overall. That's with 3.89s in the rear. Expect similar results!!

I seen that Unique is advertising your car now on Craigslist. Did you sell it or trade it in to them?
