Had I known you were fixing your hood I would not have bugged you with those pm's. Looks good can't wait to see it in color.
You're not bugging me at all, Chris. If I can find a really nice original hood reasonable, I would buy it. I've been told by a few people that the filler will crack and release after enough heat/cool cycles from the engine, so this may be temporary.

Assuming you welded the holes up, I wouldn't worry a bit about the filler cracking there from heat. I have more filler than I care to admit in my hood due to damage, and it still looks great 10 years later, and lord knows I've had some heat under it.

That's encouraging to know, Derek. I really don't want to buy a different hood but didn't have the funds to have a pro do the job right now either. Maybe "someday"...
