Good news, will be transporting un-painted shell back to "Treasure Chest" next week.
Picking up a little bit.
Did take the fenders and drill holes for Biscayne emblem and 427 marker bezels. Have NOS, Used and Aftermarket in stock.
Plan is to correct a style line on one fender, reprime. Hope to refinish underside of fenders, header panel and hood in Satin black before wrapping and storing those parts.
Still plan on setting body on rotisserie prior to returning to the "Treasure Chest"
That must mean business is picking up. I know that is what you need and want, but it sure would have been fun to see it get painted.

I like large automobile families. The "1968" Family has 7 Post cars including Biskwik, Basket Case and another one I have not named yet. Plus a Biscayne Big Block wagon and the green Impala Custom. The three posts mentioned plus the Impala Custom are all solid. Also several more (4) cut up shells (1- Custom, 2- 2dr post and 1-4 door) on rolling frames stashed in two containers.
Vickie and I dated and got married in a 1968 Biscayne 427cu/385hp Grecian Green post car, thus the soft spot for them. Started acquiring 1968 cars a little over 15 years ago. Have parted out a bunch, have full shelves and boxes to prove it.
Wandered through 42 states and one Canadian Province dragging all that iron home. A lot of bonding with Vickie, and our two kids on multiple trips.
Currently repeating the Binge buying with 2003-2005 Suburbans. Parting 6 or 7 will end up with 2 rock solid dry units plus 3-4 drivers with some Midwest wear and tear. Also a little bit of a C-4 Corvette and 1956 Bel Air thing going on also.
I am truly blessed, Karl

Thought of you Karl when this mag arrived in my mailbox.
3:55 posi, axels in, everything freshened, now will sit for a while.
As stated, ultimate drivetrain, GM 427 Crate motor, Tremec TKX 5 speed and this differential.
Thinking this drivetrain project is third in line behind Blue Elky, and a couple of driver projects on my plow truck and another 3/4 ton rusty winter beater.
Plus, still need to freshen Drivetrain on my 2003 8.1 3/4 ton Suburban.
Ron is itching to get started on the burnt 1956 Chevrolet Convertible.
Blue Elky first
This thread will how languish again until spring when body goes on rotisserie.
Looks like you are really keeping active this winter!

What happened to the 'Vette chassis/drivetrain '56 project ?
You need more helpers to move more projects along simultaneously...

When my spare 1937 Chevrolet sedan shell is done in Milwaukee being stripped and dipped, the 1956 Bel Air shell (1956LT4 project) gets swapped out for it.
The frame and drivetrain fall in the mix somewhere.
Need to position crossmember and weld brackets, position fuel tank and weld brackets.
That is a 0-doller project, as i have all brackets and fuel tank ready to go.
Plan on having more room to bounce from project to project come spring.
The TC will have five (5) fewer hoists then as mine are going to Prior Lake and Duanes' are going to New Market.
Thus, I will separate seasonal rolling storage from project production area.
There is actually a "Plan"
Like many of you I have balanced multiple projects since I was a teenager.

Karl;
This thread has languished for a few years.
Update:
The Differential that was swapped into Biskwik at the Bow Tie Brunch came from this Primer Basket Case car.
It is supposed to be a 4:11 gear.
The one removed was way too deep for a street car, so, it is getting re-geared.
Soooo, the removed Biskwik Diffi was gutted and taken to Inthermo for a strip and clean.
These pictures show after that process a rinse and some detail chipping slag.
Then received my favorite Rustoleum 2X canyon black aerosol product.
Cleaned hardware, axles, reassembled backing plates, and inspection cover.
Delivered it to the same guy that built the G-body Diffi that was installed by the Club Members in November.
Good guy, he is located near Dennison, very close for me.
Planning on a 3:55 gearset and Yukon Positraction.
Ultimately, this Diffi will be matched to the Tremec TKX recently acquired and the GM Crate 427 I bought about 10 years ago.
Another Parallel Project.
This summer the Basket Case Biscayne will go on my other Rotisserie for final Floor detail and caulking.
Shell is at 80-90% complete paint prep wise.
Final block, reprime, sand and figure out a way to get it Blue again.
Frame under that body will be re-detailed and fitted with the 427/TKX and this Diffi .
Ultimately will be swapped with current frame and drivetrain now under Biskwik.
Picture of Diffi during paint and minimal assembly.
Diffi is back.

This is just a continuation of that.

Carry on!
