Project Update!
Car has been on the road for 900 Miles. The last 750 have been issue free (knock on wood)
First issue I had was the ignition control module fried (very little thermal grease under it) and at the same time the steering rack gear in the column broke. While researching something else, I found out that the Pro Comp distributor I have are very questionable. So I pull it and put in a MSD.
Second issue was I ruptured the diaphragm in 2 fuel pumps, with in a 100 miles. While I was converting it over to an electric pump, I found out that the 2 gas filters I had before the pump was causing too much restriction. I did this because I had sandblasted and power coated the gas tank. I was being extra cautious and protecting against anything in the gas tank. Now I have a filter before and after the pump. It has been running great.
I did take it to a chassis dyno to be tuned. I told them that I was not trying to tweek every HP out of the motor that I could. I just wanted a strong running, tuned engine for the street. When they were done, it hit 322 hp @5200 rpm at the tires. Had 350ft-lbs of torque @ 4500 rpm. They said that you lose 15% to 20% in the drive train. If that is correct, the HP at the crank was 360 to 385. I am very happy with that.
I had the car at the Street Machine National in July and planning on going to the Little Canada Days Car Show this Saturday.
I have wanted to bring it to a Club meeting, but it has not worked out on my schedule. Hopefully soon.
This past weekend, I added an accessory to the car. I have always liked these.

Good to see you are driving it Hank, and not just letting it be a trailer queen!
Looks like you are going down the same slippery slope I did with ours when you start installing non-stock parts (like your underhood chrome and front spoiler), that some shows have heartburn about you being in the 'Stock' class, and you will get bumped to the 'Modified' class, which most of those cars are over the top with mods, so hard to compete... if you are into the trophy game. Just my , but I always say build it for the way you like it!
