Ive seen several restaurant auctions on Auction Masters before. The stuff they have listed in this Porkys auction are getting bid up much higher then I have ever seen before.

They're a decent site for finding stuff like that. I would put in a minimal bid for what you want, but plan on finding other auctions they are doing. I think the PORKY'S name is driving up some of this while the same stuff from El Loco Taquiero might got for less.
Regarding that article Kevin posted. The building is sized small enough to fit somewhere on the fairgrounds. Its a wood building so it wouldnt be that difficult to cut up and move.

Just heard a radio report from Joe on GL Porkes will be moved to Hastings and will be open for business this summer. Joe is a big Porkys fan and has covered the story from day one. The famous sign will go to the Fair Grounds if the family can get a site there.
So Chris we can be chompen on rings again before the summers out.

That sounds good to me. They should do well with the car show crowd as well.

From a credible source...
- Nora is talking to the Fairgrounds people, and is seriously considering running a "Porky's" during Fair time. (Since "spots" are usually available only by death or inheritance, it's a negotiation battle.) - The building move ran into a snag due to overhead clearance (powerlines & such), it's stuck in a parking lot somewhere for the mean-time, it will eventually reside in Hastings. - Son Tryg has the signs - reserving them for use at the Fairgrounds. - Son Tryg is serving the "secret recipe" onion rings at "Tryg's" restaurant. (if you need a fix) - The senior center did buy the site, 7+ digits. - The light rail, destruction, 2-year limited/no access, after train tracks access problems, were a major driving force for the sale.

I would have to go out to the truck and retrieve it. But I got a flyer from the GSTA show earlier this month about another potential cruise spot. A pizza place in West St. Paul thats called, The Pizza Place. I know they have a wednesday night show which is a little inconvienent for most. Im not sure what goes on over there on the weekends. Thats quite a drive for me to begin with.

There is a cruisin/car show at the future site for Porkys about 8 miles south of Hastings . I think it is May 14th. Kind of a drive in / breakfast. Not sure of all the details; but I think Stan has them. There is of whole village that has been move there.

They have some sort of old gas station, garage type thing there too that looks like a cool backdrop for pictures.
